OK - maybe I am feeling a little PMSy but there are things that drive me crazy.
Someone I know is getting all misty eyed an nostalgic because their child is "already 10 months"
"Oh I can't believe she is growing up so fast" and "She's so big"
I would understand it if this was their FIRST child, but this is their FOURTH child. She seems to want us all to celebrate the childs 10 months in life.
OMG! That baby isn't even walking! She is ONLY 10 months.
I am happy she is finding joy in every aspect of her childrens life, but guess what? I have been there - done that and if you are going to get this emotional over already 10 months, you are going to be a complete wreck when she's already 18, or already married, or already....
Time to take a look at yourself and find out why you are so overly emotional - do you need some help for PPD?

Poor kitty
We almost lost our poor kitty today. I don't know how she got hold of it, but she ended up with a plastic bag wrapped around her little neck.
She was tearing around trying to get away from it, she ran into a wall and finally under Ali's bed.
There we cornered her and Alissa tore off the bag.
Poor thing.......... she's awfully spooked.

How did we get here?
I have been asked by a couple of people about how I ended up where I ended up. I mean, how did I end up in a little town in Oklahoma.
Well here goes
I got married in July '86, right out of high school to Gayle Rowley. Gayle is the son of Dean Rowley and Betty Jenson who currently live in Talmage, UT.
Yes, he is related to the Rowley's from Duchesne, but 2nd or 3rd cousins or something like that. He was raised in Salt Lake.
So we spent our first few years in various places in the Salt Lake Valley - SLC, West Valley, we had two sons, then we moved to Colorado in '88 hoping for a job, but that was a bust and Gayle joined the Army. He went to Basic/AIT, the hardship to Korea (1 year unaccompanied) that was extended because of Persian Gulf in '91.
He finally got back and we moved to Colorado Springs (one more kid - a daughter) and stayed for years, then to Ft Leonard Wood, MO where Gayle did drill duty then instructor - we found God. It was a good duty station.
He went back to Korea for hardship in '05, then we moved to Ft Sill, OK - where he was off again to Iraq. He came back, he couldn't pass a PT test due to injuries received during his time in the Army and he got out.
He got a job as a corrections officer at the prison.
Our kids are now 21, 20, and 17 (on the 26th)
I could get more deeply into it, and will if you ask......... if not.......... I'll call it good.

Homeward bound
My eldest son called last night, he's coming home. He can't afford to live in Milwaukee anymore so he's coming home.
Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of having him close again, but I just am not sure HERE is the best place for him, but he can finally go to school now. He can go and get that mechanic education he wants so bad.
The boy is gifted when it comes to cars. They talk to him. I know that sounds all weird and 'witchy' but it's true.
Now where am I going to put him?

Do what???
I am usually pretty tolerant, Christians do not own December, and so when our Jewish friends, Muslim friends, even our Pagan friends who celebrate the solstice want a sign, or a symbol – that is just fine.
Let me get it out there. The sign from the atheist organization is not about promoting or celebrating atheism, it’s about cutting down the faith of others. The Spaghetti monster is ALSO about cutting down creationism (ie religion) and the Westboro Baptist Church is about hate.. period.
Come on! Freedom of speech is one thing, but promoting anger and hate is clearly a catalyst to violence. When does it end? It’s time our elected leaders stand up instead of wimping out on the threat of a lawsuit.

So what does THAT mean??
I got a letter from the SOBI (Southern Oklahoma Blood Institute) saying that after testing my last whole blood donation (the one that got me very sick) they tested the blood platelets in my blood.
Apparently I have 395,000 per unit ~ which is high and would I be willing to be a blood platelet donor? Well sure........ but wait! What does that mean.
I know blood platelets are the clotting part of your blood, and I got a lot of them. But what does that mean to a person who has a family history of heart disease? Does that mean I am develop Heart Disease - do I already have heart disease??
The internet doesn't help - one site says "Oh no! You're going to die any day now." and the next says, "It's not a problem."
I guess I better call someone who knows..........
~sigh~
